In the face of rising temperatures – of water, the planet, the atmosphere and social moods – we try to look at acts of resistance, both small and large. We draw on the wisdom of experiences of struggling against oppression, discrimination, erasure and destruction – of people, animals and nature. It Will Get Warmer is a story about everyday struggle, training sensitivity and observation, a reflection on how our actions or passivity and indifference can contribute to the shape of the world. This five-day theatrical event, through a collage of visual and performative experiences, invites us to reflect together on the accepted categories of thinking about rights and divisions that we cling to despite the fact that they do not correspond to the reality that surrounds us. What is more, they are rooted in an oppressive tradition of destroying everything that is different and incomprehensible in the name of ‘progress’, ‘development’ or “defence” and ‘security’.
